With the indoor season coming to a close, attention now turns to an exciting October filled with development programs, performance opportunities and pathway trials for athletes and coaches across WA.

ATHLETE PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

VWA Academy – Beach Volleyball School Holiday Camp

Kick off your beach volleyball season at the VWA Academy Beach Volleyball Camp these school holidays. The camp provides a great opportunity for athletes aged 13-18 to develop your skills ahead of the Youth Beach State Team Trials taking place later in October. The camp will run at the Inner City Beach Courts from Tuesday 6th – Friday 9th October, with sessions alternating between 8am-10am and 10am-12pm. VWA Academy – Program 3 Trials

The VWA Academy returns this month with trials on Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th October to determine selections for our final program of 2026. The VWA Academy is the official nationally-aligned Talent Development Program for athletes in Western Australia. Following a dual-discipline approach, the Academy aims to foster a holistic, long-term athlete development environment in both beach and indoor volleyball. This will be the final program of our pilot year, with a new and exciting structure being developed for the 2027 VWA Academy. VWA Youth Beach State Team Trials (U14-U18)

Trials are now open for the 2026/27 VWA Youth Beach State Team, with teams being selected in the U14-U18 divisions to compete in the 2027 Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships in Coolangatta, QLD from 13-18 March. See the event page for more details about the trials and to register HERE.
