Western Australia’s biggest volleyball tournament for high school students, The WA Volleyball Schools Cup, is here again, with the competition being held on the 5th-8th September 2013 at Loftus Recreation Centre in Leederville and Lords Sports Club in Subiaco.
The tournament will prove to be a great success this year with a record-breaking total of 140 teams from 23 schools across the state taking on the great sport of volleyball. This is an official qualifying tournament for any WA high school team wanting to participate in the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup in Melbourne.
Registrations also showcased the growth in volleyball in country areas such as Albany, with four schools, Great Southern Grammar, Albany SHS, North Albany SHS and St Josephs having already registered to compete.
The divisions for the competition are as follows:
5th September: Yr 8 and 9 M/F A,B
6th September- Yr 10 and 11, M/F Hon, A,B*
7th September- Open M/F Hon, A,B
8th September- Finals All Divisions
*Will/ may play Friday night games depending on the number of teams competing, see tournament regulations for more information.
