World League!

The 2014 FIVB World League has arrived in Australia. This is the first time Australia has hosted a World League fixture in 15 years.

Over the weekend the Volleyroos played two matches against Finland in Canberra at the AIS arena. The Volleyroos made history with their first ever win in this competition, taking out Saturday night’s 5 set match in front of an impressive crowd of over 4000 people. Unfortunately, on Sunday the Volleyroos just fell short of another victory. After a strong start, the Volleyroos went down to Finland losing in a well fought out 5th set.

We wish the Volleyroos luck in their upcoming matches in Finland and Canada over the next 2 weeks.
