As part of Volleyball WA’s acknowledgement and celebration of Harmony Week, we proudly hosted the 2026 Harmony Cup, a vibrant social volleyball competition that brought together communities from across our multicultural State. This year’s event welcomed 42 teams and more than 300 players, each contributing to an atmosphere filled with unity, inclusion, and the pure joy of sport.
The Harmony Cup highlighted what makes Western Australia truly special: people from all walks of life coming together to share experiences, build connections, and enjoy the thrill of volleyball. Players of all backgrounds and skill levels filled the courts with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared passion for the game.
Harmony Week reminds us of the importance of understanding, inclusion, and cultural appreciation. The 2026 Harmony Cup embodied these values, demonstrating how sport can break down barriers and create meaningful connections. By bringing together such a diverse group of participants, the event reinforced the power of volleyball, and sport more broadly, to unite communities and foster a sense of belonging.
Volleyball WA extends a heartfelt thank‑you to all staff, referees, players, and supporters who contributed to the success of this year’s Harmony Cup. Events like this strengthen our community and celebrate the multicultural fabric that enriches our State.
We look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming even more teams and cultures to our next multicultural event, the Alcohol. Think Again Country of Origin Indoor, on October 18. More information is available at: https://volleyballwa.com.au/events/cooi2026/
