Volleyball WA are excited to officially release the 2016 Volleyball WA Schools Cup – Competition Regulations. Signifying the opening of registrations and the commencement of hysteria and hype around the competition soon being upon us.

The Volleyball WA Schools Cup is the biggest volleyball tournament for high school students in Western Australia. The tournament proves to be a great success every year with more schools taking on the great sport of volleyball. All high schools in WA are encouraged to enter teams across a wide range of divisions and age groups, as there is something to suit all abilities. This is an official qualifying tournament for any WA high school team wanting to participate in the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup in Melbourne.

Robyn Kuhl – Executive Director at Volleyball WA said “It’s exciting to see that each year the interest in playing volleyball is growing.  The Volleyball WA Schools Cup and the WA Junior Volleyball League has grown in ‘leaps and bounds’ over the last three years and is indeed incredibly exciting for the sport. This increase of participation has also been seen at the School Sports WA Senior High Schools Championships (June 2016) and the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup (December 2016) which is fantastic.”

Mrs Kuhl also went on to say “For the 2016 Volleyball WA Schools Cup we are playing for the first time at the Warwick Recreation Centre, it is a new venue for our sport and we hope you enjoy the recently renovated venue.  Thank you to all three of venues we are using for this competition – Warwick Recreation Centre, Perth Modern School and Loftus Recreation Centre.  Thank you also to all the referees who have volunteered to assist at the event, we are indeed thankful for all the support that you give to this competition.”

On all accounts the competition is set to go off with a bang!
