Volleyball Western Australia Invites you to get involved in an exciting new male program for athletes aged 19 and under.
In just 3 weeks’ time, Volleyball Western Australia will be launching a new U19 Male Program called the U19 Males Pre-Elite Squad (Pilot Program). This program aims to provide an opportunity for U19 Male athletes to continue their development and be best prepared heading in to State Team Selections. This program will also provide an opportunity for male athletes aged 19 and under who don’t play WAVL, WAVJL nor wish to be selected in an AJVC State team to participate in a five week program and stay involved in volleyball.
The program is open to all Male athletes aged 19 and under in Years 11, 12 and 13, as long as you are born after the 1st of January 1998.
The U19 Males Pre-Elite Squad Pilot Program will also cover the U19 Male Trial and Squad Phases for the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC) on the Gold Coast Queensland, and all U19 male athletes wishing to represent WA are required to participate in this program. If you are not eligible to trial for the state team, you are still welcome to attend the program.
Trials for the U19 WA State Team will take place on Saturday the 10th of June and Wednesday the 14th of June. Information on the U19 Male State Team trials, as well as AJVC event information and other pre-requisite information can be found in the Intention to Nominate Letter.
Following the trials on the 10th and 14th of June, there will be another 3 training sessions taking place on Wednesdays, and 5 game days taking place on Fridays.
